Connelly attended St. Ann’s school to receive her school education. Her father was running a garment industry. Their one of the intimate friends was an advertising executive and he found that Connelly can do well in modelling. At her age of ten, she started to appear in magazine advertisements and later engaged in televisions as well for commercial advertisements as a model.
She was recommended by a casting director to Sergio Leone, who wanted to have a young girl to dance in his gangster series of Once Upon a Time in America which was screened in 1984. After her graduation, she slowly started to concentrate in appearing in films. Her first appearance was in the British TV series of “Tales of the Unexpected” which was screened in the year of 1979. In 1985, she acted first in the film of Phenomena.
In 2001, the film she performed was very successful to her career and helped her to receive several remarkable awards and also her name was in the nomination list for other many awards because of her excellent performance.
